The Rejection that became Nitrous 🏎️

A few months ago, I hit "Submit" on my Y Combinator application for the Spring 2026 batch.

I had poured everything into it. I’d polished the code, refined the mission for GlomeSpace, and checked every box for the qualities they look for: technical depth, clear vision, and a massive market.

I didn't just want a "Yes." I felt like I had earned it.

Then, the email came. No interview. No "let's talk." Just a standard rejection "We’re sorry to say that your startup was not selected for an interview"

For many, that email is a demotivator. It’s the moment where the "hustle" starts to feel like a heavy weight and the voice of the subtore in your head asks if it’s time to give up.

But for me? That rejection wasn't a stop sign. It was nitrous. It was the gear shift that told me to keep building because the Summer batch was coming—and I wasn't going to show up to the next application with the same company. I was going to show up with a better one.

The Math of Winning

Most people see a rejection as a loss. I see it as a countdown.

In my mind, I’m not "failing"; I’m just ticking off the number of "No's" required to get to the "Yes." If it takes ten rejections to get to a win, then I’m now nine rejections closer to winning than I was yesterday.

Since that first rejection, we haven't slowed down:

  • We’ve launched our web app and are currently onboarding travelers.
  • We’ve reached 40+ organic monthly clicks on Google.
  • We are deep in development for our Shopify App launch (before this summer starts).

Round 2: 9 Days to Go

There are currently 9 days left until the Summer 2026 application deadline.

And yes, I am applying again. Why? Because it is never easy to get something you truly want in life. If it were easy, everyone would do it. The world calls for "tougher hearts"—the ones that keep pushing the boulder toward the peak even when the summit is still hidden in the clouds.

The boulder might be heavy, but my heart is tougher.

The Lesson for this week: Don't let a "No" define your worth, identity, and entire trajectory of your life. Let it define your speed. Frame your rejections as the cost of admission for the success that’s coming.

See you at the peak🏔️

Integrity Over Speed: A Founder’s Story

This week, a story surfaced in the tech world that serves as a necessary, brutal reality check: the fall of the compliance startup, Delve. Delve promised companies a way to bypass the months of grueling work required for SOC 2 compliance. They used AI to promise "instant certification." The market was hungry for it. They raised millions. They were a YC-backed darling. Then, the truth came out. The "AI-powered" speed was a facade. The evidence was fabricated. The audits were rubber-stamped. In...

This week, the tech world watched the courtroom clash between Elon Musk and Sam Altman reach a final, decisive end. After a three-week trial, the jury reached a verdict in less than two hours: The case is dismissed. But here is the detail that matters most: The jury didn't rule on the merits of Musk’s claims. They didn’t decide who had the better vision for OpenAI. They simply decided that Musk waited too long to act. He missed the legal window, and with that, his multi-billion dollar...

We have a massive announcement today. The GlomeSpace Shopify App was officially submitted and is currently in the review period. Once the green light comes through, we are executing a full launch on Product Hunt and officially opening our doors for business. The engine is primed, the code is ready, and the next chapter is about to begin. But right now? There is absolute silence. We are in the queue. And if you’ve ever built something, you know that this waiting period can feel agonizing. When...
